Judaica, Little Moises figure Walking Cane. France, circa 1880 This large elephant handle, 12 cm high x 3 cm wide, represents the little Moses in his floating nest, woven with reeds of the Nile river, he is proudly displaying his complete nakedness and carrying a green Four-leave clover in his hand. The facial expression, the anatomical details and the general composition of this treasure, have been elaborated with a lot of love and high skills. It is on top of a slender ebony shaft, there is a silver collar with a French trade mark, it ends with a metal ferule and the O.L. is 91 cm. Three of the leaves have each one a chip, the hair line at the bottom is little dilated, the child is perfect, (see pictures). The condition is excellent. The four leaf clover is one of the most common good luck symbols of the Western world. The four leaves represent hope, faith, love and luck. This is the most shared belief.
